Week 5 '05-'06

Becca returned from California last night! We were all so excited to see her and it has been wonderful getting back to the normal routine. Times Tables and Spelling lists will be a focus this week, along with Reading with Riley.

Week 4 '05-'06

Week 4

Rebecca is in California with her Grandparents, lucky duck! So, the boys and I are plunging ahead without her. She is supposed to be reading Alice in Wonderland, Busy Times, sketching, and doing her wordly wise. She will be visiting Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, and Sea World...So I am not sure how much "school" work she will be getting done, but she will have the time of her little life and much to narrate to us all on her return!

Week 3 '05-'06



After a busy, busy weekend filled with Letterboxing on Whidbey Island and my trip to Vancouver, BC with my mom and sister, we are ready for our third week of Ambleside! I must say, I love this program. I can't escape the beauty of delving into beautiful works of literature and filling our minds and hearts with their treasures. Week 2 '05-'06


Last week went great, highlighted by our letterboxing ( www.letterboxing.org ), and by rearranging the kids rooms to create a wardrobe or dressing room for the kids. This will help us keep the laundry lion tamed and keep the atmosphere of our home worthy of great learning and much peace. Here is what we did for week 2 :

Okay, I am ready to start a new year and do a better job utilizing this blog for our homeschooling purposes and records. I have 4 terrific children in Ambleside Online right now and one pesky, but sweet 2 year old clinging to our every word.
