Week 10 '05-'06

What a great way to start our week! We spent the day with the Vanhoff's, made chili dinner, went to Madeliene Villa nursing home, drank Hot Buttered Rum (not the children, of course) and then went to a local neighborhood for more candy. The nursing home was such a great experience. This is Katherine. Today was her 98th birthday. She was born in Scotland and came to America when she was a small child. She was just one of the residents that we met tonight. The kids plan on taking us back there as a family to volunteer in the very near future.
