Monday: Today I started this blogg to help me keep track of School...I am hoping that this fresh aproach will enable me to be more organized in combining the two years of Ambleside. What I also hope is that this will not cause me more work, but less. I think it will be a success and Blake can link on and see what the kids are up to.
Today we did Math, Italics, Baldwin's 50, and the Little Duke. It was a major catch up day, so I did several selections in each catagory.
The kids were quite attentive and had charming narrations. Riley was very in tune right from the start. I am thankful to be back on track.
I love the yard!! Recess really felt like recess.
We had several interuptions today (phone calls, Safeway.com, a gift of cookies brought by from New Hope, etc.) but the kids did a great job getting back on track.
Tuesday: Blake read from Wind in the Willows and Trial and Triumph today while I volunteered at PPP with Riley's class. We are also planning on going to the fabric store to get a pattern and fabric for Becca's Sewing class.
Well, we managed to finish up last weeks assignments this week. Oh well, I guess better late than never! Mom is back in Arizona now and life at the new home is getting into more of a routine. I am a bit bummed that I only really have 2 full days with all the kids. Technically, I have Friday also, but that is Blake's day off and so far, we have not really been incorporating school. Maybe we need to. I also am thinking that Tuesdays I will do some more advanced readings with Reuben and Becca. Maybe even have Reuben do some solo stuff. I need to transition him to reading his own material.
